About Us
Itogs.com is an independent editorial site built around one word with two meanings. In the UK and Ireland, tog is the warmth rating on a duvet; in Australia and New Zealand, togs is the everyday word for swimwear. The site covers both — and the Commonwealth slang that connects them. For the full story behind that idea, see the welcome page.
What we set out to do
The aim is simple: clear, trustworthy answers for shoppers across the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand who are trying to choose a duvet or a swimsuit and finding most online guides thin or contradictory. Each article tackles a specific question — which tog rating suits which season, how two swimwear brands really differ, when a retailer's sale is worth waiting for — and answers it properly.
How we work
Every guide is researched and written to the same standards:
- Sourced claims. Statements about warmth ratings, brands, materials and pricing are checked against real retailers, consumer testers and textile standards, and each article lists its sources at the foot of the page.
- No filler. No auto-generated listicles and no padding — just the information needed to make a decision.
- Regional accuracy. Guides are written for the country they target, with the right spelling, currency and retailers, rather than generic global copy.
When an article recommends where to shop, any affiliate relationships will be disclosed clearly on the page. The site does not publish paid placements dressed up as editorial.
